Don't follow your dreams, chase them!

Have you ever noticed that as a child, dreams didn't seem so impossible to achieve? As we get older, those dreams get farther and farther away... But that's only because we stop believing that dreams, in fact, can become reality.
My dream is to one day travel the world. That's a BIG dream-- it takes tons of money, and loads of planning in advance. However, I don't believe it's impossible... If I'm truly motivated to do so, and if it's part of God's plan for me, it will happen. My mom always tells me, "You're so young! You have your whole life ahead of you to go places and see new things." My reply to that is this: That may be true, but I'm not promised tomorrow- Nobody is promised tomorrow! You have to treat each and every day as if it's your last.
Dreams start at a young age. Every decision you make in life will effect your future-- I'm sure you've heard that before, but it's so true! Take school, for example. Elementary and middle school may not be AS important, but once you get in high school, the grades you earn will determine what college you get in to, or even determine whether or not you get a scholarship.
The education that you get in college, will determine the job or career you have afterwards. The career you have, will determine the income you make later on. See the pattern? This isn't rocket science, but the point is that decisions lead to outcomes- So you want to make decisions that will set you up for a successful future.
Even if you weren't able to get the correct guidance as a child, it's NEVER too late to chase your dream. My mom, who is 46, is currently going to college to be a registered nurse. Not only is she going to school, she is working full time. On top of that, she has my brother and I to take care of, and pay the mortgage. I don't know how she does it, but she never gives up! I guess that's where I get my inspiration from.
Although this post was aimed towards teens, I hope it inspired or motivated you in some way or form! This is my first blog post ever, so I know it's not that great- but it's all part of the process... I'll get more experience as time goes on. Thanks for reading this, it means a lot!

Here are some motivational quotes(I'm all about quotes):
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." -Henry David Thoreau
"I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past." -Patrick Henry
"Every great dream  begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and to change the world." -Harriet Tubman

                                                                 Bible verses:
Psalms 25:4-5- "Show me the path where I should walk, O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you."
